Nestled in the midst of that beautiful serene setting lies Plum Tree National Golf Club, one of the most picturesque golf courses in the Chicago-land area. Rated consistantly among the top courses on the Chicago golf scene, Plum Tree offers players a test of strategy, skill and patience. Known for its excellent season long playing conditions, Plum Tree has maintained its top rate fairways and greens through a recently completed and rigorous five-phase maintenance and drainage program. Built in 1968 and designed by Joe Lee, the beauty of Illinois is showcased in this 6,648-yard design of bent grass fairways that thread through more than 4,000 trees of assorted species. The par 72 layout also features 105 sand traps and water challenges on several holes. The course measures 5,810 yards with a par 72 for women and can change personality with the shift of wind direction. The course is open to the public with the season beginning in March, weather permitting, and ending in November. Membership packages are also available for individuals, families, seniors and juniors. Plum Tree is a great place to host an outing for your family, civic organization or business associates. Located on Route 14 between Woodstock and Harvard.
